Bridge In Schools Pilot Program
A $5,000 contribution to Real Deal Bridge, to test proof of concept in a pilot project at St Kieran's Primary School to develop a sustainable, scalable Bridge In Schools program.
The Foundation contributed $5000 towards a “Bridge In Schools Pilot Program” developed by Real Deal Bridge.
Real Deal Bridge has launched pilot programs aimed at introducing bridge to both schools and bridge clubs.
At St Kieran’s Primary School in Eastern Victoria, Real Deal Bridge has been developing and testing resources designed specifically for younger players. The focus is on creating engaging materials that can easily be used by facilitators and helping students learn through participation and play.
While bringing bridge into schools presents a number of challenges, the program has also expanded to include club-based trials. Sale Bridge Club will be the first to host youth sessions as part of this initiative.
As the program develops, the goal for Real Deal Bridge is to develop resources and delivery models for a broader roll-out nationally.
